Team of
Architecture and Arts

Founded in early 2024, the Taiwan Youth Architecture and Arts Team is driven by a deep passion for architecture and the arts, dedicated to creating a platform where young architects can exchange ideas and spark innovation. From November to December of the same year, we proudly hosted the inaugural Taiwan Youth Architecture and Arts Exhibition at Fuhsing Art Gallery and Yiyaju, where fresh perspectives merged with tradition to shape the future blueprint of Taiwan’s architectural and artistic landscape.

Building upon the success of our first exhibition, under the leadership of Chief Organizer Andrew Yang, our team has regrouped and expanded, not only uniting our original members but also welcoming award-winning artists and young architects from the first exhibition. Together, we are organizing the second Taiwan Youth Architecture and Arts Exhibition, continuing to write a new chapter for Taiwan’s young architectural visionaries.

Our mission goes beyond redefining "youth"—we aspire to build a cross-disciplinary exchange platform for Taiwanese students, fostering deeper recognition and respect for architecture and the arts. From north to south, we stand united, embracing the spirit of Governance, Innovation, Valour, Education, and Reciprocation (GIVER) as we stride toward a new era of architecture that connects Taiwan with the world. On this culturally rich island, we aim to ignite a flourishing future for Taiwan’s young architects and artists!

2025 Architectural Advancement
From post-war urban expansion to the rise of smart cities, Taiwan’s urban development has continuously mirrored the evolution of society. Urban redevelopment zones, as key drivers of city transformation, carry the mission of land regeneration and industrial transition. From Taipei’s Xinyi District Redevelopment to the more recent Xinbei Subcenter, Qingpu Special District, and the Shui-Nan Economic and Trade Park, these districts chart the trajectory of urban progress. Regulatory innovations further propel smart architecture, green design, and cultural preservation, ensuring that cities are more than just concrete landscapes—they become vessels of memory and innovation.

Youth are not merely witnesses to urban transformation; they are the dreamers and builders of the future. This year’s Taiwan Youth Architecture and Arts Exhibition revolves around the theme of Urban Renewal, exploring the reshaping of spaces and the continuation of cultural identity. Through architecture, design, and artistic perspectives, young minds will not only reflect on history but also envision how to shape the future amidst change—turning every transformation into a step forward in progress.
2024 Cultural Heritage and Integration

This event brings together young artists and seasoned architects, fostering intergenerational exchange and dialoguewith professionals deeply rooted in Taiwan’s architectural and artistic landscape. Through these interactions, participants will not only gain confidence in their cultural identity but also deepen their understanding of heritage, learning how to express their profound cultural sentiments through art.

By embracing both tradition and innovation, this exhibition serves as a platform where the next generation can inherit, reinterpret, and seamlessly integrate cultural legacies into their creative expressions, shaping a future where culture and architecture continue to evolve hand in hand.

I strongly feel that we face great challenges and competition from peers in the international art world, but this is better than Taiwan's inward-looking and closed environment.
